Celebrants gather at Duc Vien Buddhist Temple to ring in the Year of the Tiger.

Community members on Tuesday celebrated the start of Lunar New Year at Duc Vien Buddhist Temple in San Jose. The Vietnamese community celebrates the Lunar New Year — called Tết Nguyên Đán, which means “Feast of the First Morning” in English — as a major holiday that brings family and friends together.
