Texas Parks and Wildlife restocked a creek in Boerne with more than 1,000 pounds of catfish on Wednesday.Catfish are in abundance in Boerne. On Wednesday, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department restocked the Cibolo Creek with more than 1,000 pounds of catfish.
The creek runs along River Road Park and through downtown Boerne. The creek's restocking is part of TPWD's , which restocks lakes and rivers across the state with a variety of fish to encourage local fishing.Kids ages 16 years and younger can fish for free, while adults need to buy a license. Starting the week of April 15, Texas Parks and Wildlife will be regularly stocking catfish at several spots, including San Antonio's Miller's Pond on the Southwest Side and Southside Lions Park on the East Side.
