Various Canada Day festivities were held throughout Greater Sudbury on Saturday
Canada Day festivities brought out various cultures for today’s events, with pockets of entertainment taking place throughout Greater Sudbury.
It was fun for all ages at both the Sudbury Community Arena and Science North area, where families were seen gathering to enjoy the holiday. A particularly strong multicultural tone was struck at the Sudbury Community Arena, with various cultural performances gracing the stage while those in attendance sampled various ethnic foods on display throughout the rink.
“We are from far and wide, but united we are 40 million strong – and there is no challenge we cannot overcome together,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in his Canada Day message. “So today, let's celebrate each other, and let's celebrate as we continue to build this great country. And let's continue to seize every opportunity we can to make this country even better for our children and our children's children.”
