The good news for the Cogswell redevelopment project is that it's on time and on budget, with some work even ahead of schedule. The bad news? Phase 2 will bring even more headaches for motorists. - Ryan TaplinThe Cogswell redevelopment project is on time and on budget.
The transit hub will have curbed lanes dedicated to buses, as well as heated bus shelters, widened sidewalks and benches. The transit hub is one of a few major items billed for Phase 2 of the redevelopment project, which is set to start next month. The Barrington Street closure is because crews will be building a new roadway that will be home to a new section of Barrington Street, situated further back from Upper Water Street to make way for future developments between the two streets.
And if that wasn’t enough for 2024, construction crews are also expected to have the new roundabout near completion by the end of next year.
