"It was right after my dad died, and my aunt took a few of my brothers and me to this event where Boomer — an NFL quarterback — was signing autographs to give my mom a much-needed break.
Everyone got a picture of Boomer at the beginning of the line to get signed. My aunt didn’t really want to wait, so I asked to have her picture to get it signed for my mom. Wasn’t sure if she knew who he was either, but I just wanted to do something for her because she had been in a bad place after my dad passing away.'Two?! I’m not freakin' signing two, dude.
He just stared at me, waiting for an answer. I was shocked and so embarrassed that I just stood there, open-mouthed, wide-eyed, and shrugged my shoulders. 'Yeah, that’s what I thought,' he said right before he scribbled his name on one of the pictures and snapped both of them back to me."
