Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro joined members of the Pennsylvania State Police to honor troopers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro joined members of the Pennsylvania State Police on Thursday to honor troopers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Among those being honored was Trooper Jacques Rougeau Jr. He lost his life during a manhunt in Juniata County in June of 2023. During the ceremony at PSP headquarters, Trooper Rougeau became the 104th state trooper to have his name added to the memorial wall .
My Administration is committed to ensuring our troopers and their families have the help and support they deserve from every corner of our Commonwealth.''I am humbled and honored to pay tribute to Tpr. Jacques Rougeau Jr. and the 103 other members of the Pennsylvania State Police who have made the ultimate sacrifice,' said Col. Christopher Paris, Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police. 'Their dedication and service will always be remembered.
