Clifford was picked by the Packers a couple days after Rodgers was traded. The four-year starter at Penn State was the surprise selection of Day Three as Green Bay took him in the fifth round at No. 149 overall. It became clear pretty quickly that Clifford would serve as the Packers’ No. 2 quarterback. On Thursday, LaFleur made that official.
