Water pressure is expected to return to normal in parts of Sidney, North Saanich and the Tseycum and Pauquachin First Nations on Wednesday as the Capital Regional District completes repairs to a water main that serves the Saanich Peninsula.

The regional district had warned of reduced pressure as it repaired a leak in the line. The work began Sept. 7. McTavish Road between West Saanich Road and East Saanich Road was set to open to single-lane alternating access Tuesday evening. Mainwaring Road between McTavish and Bazan Bay Road is open, but is expected to see additional closures in the next few days.
