Pelosi, Schumer: Pact with Trump on $2 trillion in infrastructure spending

Top congressional Democrats said Tuesday they had agreed with President Donald Trump to spend $2 trillion on infrastructure projects and that a group would meet again in three weeks to discuss questions of funding.

Schumer, a New York Democrat, said Trump would present his ideas on funding when another meeting is held in three weeks. Pelosi and Schumer wrapped up the meeting with Trump shortly after Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, cast doubt on an infrastructure deal getting through Congress.
