Peel police are slated to announce results of a multi-jurisdictional human trafficking investigation dubbed Project Pacific.
The press conference will take place at Peel Regional Police Headquarters in Mississauga at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The investigation resulted in the rescuing of several human trafficking survivors and charges were laid, along with drugs and property seized, said police.Expected to speak on Wednesday are Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich, of the Investigative and Emergency Support Services Command and Det. David Laing, with the Specialized Enforcement Bureau — Vice/Human Trafficking division.
