The 39-year-old man was hit by a car Monday morning on East Exchange Street between Allyn and Sumner streets.
Police have not released the identity of the 39-year-old victim.
The man was hit at about 7:39 a.m. on East Exchange Street between Allyn and Sumner streets. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. He reportedly was in critical condition in the intensive care unit. The 42-year-old woman driving the car that struck the man remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
