Authorities asked any possible witnesses to contact investigators.

Police on Tuesday were seeking witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries over the weekend in Asbury Park. The pedestrian was hit at Kingsley Street and Fourth Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, according to a statement from city police. The vehicle remained at the scene, said Sgt. Michael Casey.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Asbury Park Officer William Reng at 732-502-4583 or Brian Boryszewski, of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, at 732-431-7160.
