Thursday's death is the fourth at the Cameron and Market intersection since August 2021.
The intersection at South Cameron Street at Market Street is busy with vehicles and pedestrians.Harrisburg police said two pedestrians were hit, one fatally, Thursday night while crossing a city street in an area where three others have been killed since last year.
Police said a woman died after getting hit by a vehicle around 9:30 p.m. Thursday while crossing Cameron Street near the Market Street intersection. A male pedestrian was also injured in the Thursday night crash, according to police. Police said a vehicle traveling south on Cameron Street with a sold green light hit the pedestrians while they were crossing Cameron Street.
The pedestrians’ identities were not immediately available. Thursday’s death is the fourth in the Cameron and Market Street area since the fall of 2021.
