The report, released Feb. 10, also showed that Deer Park received $1.41 million in sales tax money in December, and La Porte received $1.27 million. The municipality bested the $1 million mark nine times in 2022 and averaged $1.07 million per month in sales tax revenue.La Porte’s $1.27 million in December was almost 5.9 percent greater than the $1.2 million gained during the same month in 2022.
“We don’t have a lot of retail stores, but we do have industry,” said Mike Dolby, the city's director of finance.
