The 10 p.m. curfew for kids in North Wildwood would start before before Memorial Day.
North Wildwood is set to become the latest Jersey Shore town with a summer curfew for those under the age of 18, and it includes potential fines for parents of at least $250.
Parents or guardians who knowingly allow children to be out and are disruptive could face a fine of at least $250. The curfew will last through nearly the entire summer before being pushed back to 11 p.m. on Sept. 16. The curfew will temporarily revert to 10 p.m. for the days surrounding Halloween, the ordinance stated.
City solicitor Michael Donohue added that police will not be asking juveniles how old they are unless they’re breaking another law.
