Dominick Krankall suffered second- and third-degree burns to his face and legs after being struck by a tennis ball that was soaked in gasoline and lit on fire.
Bridgeport Mayor Joseph Ganim, first responders, and members of the community gathered and cheered outside Krankall's hospital window.
Krankall could be out of the hospital and back home in the coming days, though a war of words continues between his parents and the mother of the other two boys. "My 6-year-old son looked at me, and he said, 'Daddy, he poured gasoline on a ball, and he threw it directly into my face, and he caught my face on fire with a fireball,'" Aaron Krankall said."I will not stop, though, until this kid gets put away because this is not OK. I need justice for my son.""There was no bullying whatsoever involved, none," she said.
