Some new habits proved particularly sticky, such as watching TV and streaming services more often

“This might be why some are still sleeping in and going to bed later on weekdays,” said the survey, which was conducted in the final week of February.

“Working from home and not having a commute is the main reason nearly half said they are sleeping in more on weekdays. And with less office time, some are grooming less — 15 per cent said they are showering less often in the morning and for shorter periods of time than they used to on pre-pandemic weekdays.”

Also changed is when people cook and do other chores. A third say they are still cooking dinner at home more often than pre-pandemic, and 25 per cent continue to bake as a hobby. Seventy per cent of those working from home said they do chores during the day, such as laundry or washing dishes .Article content
