'I did my own makeup. I lived in my car. I didn’t have a trailer or anything. And it was so liberating.' - Padma Lakshmi on filming ‘Taste the Nation’
and was talking to people there about what it was like to work in the mines. And this isn’t the exact same thing, but there is a parallel where sometimes you’d need to show these people in their environments and hear what they have to say. And that’s how you can make some sort of progress.I know for a fact that I wouldn’t have gotten to know him as well if I tried to talk to him rather than just listen to what he had to say. And that’s why I was there.
I did my own makeup. I lived in my car. I didn’t have a trailer or anything. And it was so liberating. I mean, I had a makeup artist for some of the episodes. I love her. She’s a great makeup artist.
