The pavement opened up underneath a fire truck responding to the sinkhole, creating an additional hole, the fire chief said.
A water main break caused sinkholes outside a home at 200 N. Eighth St. in Easton on Feb. 4, 2022Roger Farber woke up Friday morning to the alarming discovery that his front stoop had dropped into a 10-foot-deep sinkhole.
Farber guesses the hole got a lot bigger between the time his neighbor saw it and when he saw it early Friday. Chief Henry Hennings. The wheels fell into the hole that opened up in the pavement under the truck. The truck is damaged but was able to drive out of the newly-formed hole, Hennings said.
