U.S. District Court Judge Randolph D. Moss sentenced Jorden Robert Mink, 29, of Oakdale, on Friday to 51 months in prison.
An Allegheny County man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for his role in the riots that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Mink had been arrested on Jan. 19, 2021, in McKees Rocks, 12 days after the attack at the Capitol. He has been in federal custody since then,According to court documents, on the day of the riots, Mink used a baseball bat to break a window at the Capitol building, climbed through it, and then began to remove property, including chairs, a lamp and desk drawers, which he handed to people in the crowd outside through the broken window.
Mink then used a long pole to strike the officers repeatedly, hitting their shields at least five times, according to the release.
