Brett Gallant will be making his 11th appearance at the Tim Hortons Brier, March 3-12. This year, he’s throwing stones for Alberta’s Brendan Bottcher after playing with the Brad Gushue rink in Newfoundland and Labrador since the 2012-13 season.
However, the Bottcher rink advances to the Brier as one of three wild-card entries, based on its Canadian and world rankings.
The Bottcher team was one up entering the 10th end. Koe had the hammer and scored a deuce to win the championship. “They’re in our pool, so we play them in the preliminary round. It will be different being on the other side of those guys and facing off against them. It’s going to be a big game."
