A P.E.I. man who committed several offences in Charlottetown while high on crystal meth, including exposing himself in public and breaking into a government liquor store, has been sentenced to time served.

Levi, 37, who is from Scotchfort, previously pleaded guilty to the offences - theft under $5,000, break and enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence, and two counts of committing an indecent act in a public place in the presence of one or more persons.Man wears “born to be wild” shirt during trial for damaging police carCrown attorney Jeff MacDonald told the court that on Jan. 11 at 3:34 p.m.
Levi was also sentenced for stealing a delivered package on Dec. 30 containing bedsheets valued at $90 from Charlottetown resident's front doorstep.MacDonald noted that based on an updated Gladue report, Levi has experienced intergenerational trauma and abuse as an Indigenous person. Glaude reports discuss an Indigenous person's background and circumstances to assist the court with sentencing. Levi had a prior criminal record.
