Watts said he had a brief conversation with Mahood about his Canada Games' experience after the bronze-medal fight. “It feels surreal,” said Birch, who defeated Ruqaya Nawaz of Ontario to win the flyweight 52kg class. “I can’t believe it.” “It feels amazing,” said Scott, who turned 16 in January. “I got to be the first female to step foot in the ring; I got to be the first on the podium to get medals. It feels incredible.”
