Cassidy Doucette, Mary MacLean, and Christine Blanchard are training for the regatta as part of Oars East, a group of 17 rowers from P.E.I. and New Brunswick that will be competing at the World Masters Regatta.
Three avid rowers from P.E.I. – Cassidy Doucette, Mary MacLean, and Christine Blanchard – are working out using indoor rowing machines to prepare for the 2023 World Rowing Masters Regatta in South Africa in early fall. The trio is training for the regatta as part of Oars East, a group of 17 rowers from P.E.I. and New Brunswick that will be competing at the World Masters Regatta. - Rowing P.E.I.
MacLean, who has been rowing for about 20 years and finished fourth in her category in the world indoor rowing championships in 2022, looks forward to the regatta. All three are members of Rowing P.E.I. and are preparing for the regatta, including hiring the services of off-Island coaching, which has added to the cost of preparing for the regatta.
