NEW: The trail to Colorado's iconic Crystal Mill has been closed by its private owner after trespassers vandalized the “very delicate,' historic 131-year-old building
, one of Colorado’s most iconic photo locations, was blocked in May by owner Chris Cox to prevent trespassing and vandalism at the fragile, 131-year-old structure.
“Everyone wants to get the shot — photographers, influencers, even I want the shot,” said Gilkey, who grew up in the area. “Every day that I go up, I take pictures of the mill because it’s pretty. I love the mill. She’s part of my soul.
