Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer may be new here, but in 2021-22 he was part of the Montreal Canadiens search committee that opted to create a structure with Jeff Gorton as president of hockey operations and Kent Hughes as general manager.
“That was probably one of the best practices I looked at, and the model in Montreal works well,” Andlauer said Friday at a news conference at the Canadian Tire Centre. “The collaborative process between Jeff and Kent works great. “It’s not a one-person can do all this. What I see in Montreal I like, so it’s a little bit of rip-off and duplicate from Montreal.”
“The only thing that’s changed for Pierre is that he’s got more support with me and to collaborate on ideas and executing moving forward. We have a lot to be excited about,” Staios said. “But there’s a tremendous amount of work to do that we’re all up for.
