Logan Morrison has lived and breathed the pressure of playoff hockey.

Whatever heroics one player can provide, the supporting cast always has a huge role. The 67’s were already, maybe surprisingly, the OHL’s best team, even before trade-deadline deals brought in Morrison and high-flying defenceman Pavel Mintyukov. It’s not like Morrison hasn’t felt the pressure to perform.

Ottawa finished with franchise records for victories and points in a season. The 67’s dominated the season series against the Generals, who had 26 wins and 58 points, winning seven of eight games . The 67’s scored at least four goals in each of the eight games, winning 7-6, 4-1, 6-3, 5-4 , 5-2, 8-3 and 4-3, while losing 5-4 in overtime.

“We’re confident, but we’re not overconfident. We’re not going to be cocky. We let our game do the talking. We respect our opponents and we respect each other. We play hard, we play the right way. We trust our systems, we trust our game. And we’ve got a really, really good culture here. You’re got to find another gear in the playoffs. And I’ve got no doubt we can do that.”
