OPP identify victim of fatal shooting in Renfrew
The Renfrew OPP crime unit is investigating, with support from the OPP forensic identification services unit.The investigation is being conducted under the direction of the OPP criminal investigation branch and involves the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Centre of Forensic Sciences.
The individual, who has since been identified as Logan, was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.Advertisement 3Neighbours on Vimy Boulevard, who asked to remain anonymous because of fears for their safety, said Saturday morning it was common to see visibly intoxicated people and a steady flow of cars in the area, and to find drug paraphernalia on the street.
The neighbours said they recognized the shooting victim and his girlfriend as friends of the tenant when they emerged from the unit.
