In one of his more famous tweets, President Trump in March 2017 alleged that President Barack Obama “had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory.

Democrats on Capitol Hill commonly offer them, as do other commentators on cable news. It makes sense, in light of the long list of actions that Trump took — or attempted to take — against the Mueller team.
