" : First, thank you for the synagogue editorial. It is obvious when revisiting past mass murders and desecrations that almost no place is safe today, not even our homes with locked doors. We don’t have moats around our homes and the increasing popularity of drones and guns for nefarious purposes is expanding.

Our home may be our castle but it no longer is a safe house. No other modern, western country approaches what is happening in America today. I used to laugh at the expression “” as Judge Roy Bean, the infamous saloon-keeper and justice of the peace, was called. I no longer am laughing. Shakespeare's saying, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark,” now applies to America, and needs to be addressed with more than words.
