It’s now beyond time for Newsom to call his own emergency in California and to urge Biden, Congress and the Environmental Protection Agency to do their jobs and keep people safe. It’s beyond time for the federal government to protect people, including Border Patrol agents and Navy personnel who are not just federal employees but essential ones.
