The SIU says an autopsy is being scheduled after the man was found dead on his property a day after OPP officers did a wellness check on him.
Brant County OPP officers on Sunday found the man deceased on his property, near Highway 5 and Brant Road. Officers had been called to do a wellness check on him the day before, on March 11, at the same property.
The Special Invesigations Unit said they could not disclose further information about the case since a post-mortem is in the process of being scheduled.The SIU investigates the conduct of police, special constables and peace officers that may have resulted in death, serious injury, sexual assault and/or the discharge of a firearm at a person.
