Despite being known for its racier material, one Italian location proved to be too sexy to include in TheWhiteLotus season 2. '[Bar Turrisi] dates back to 1947, it used to be a brothel and gay hotspot.'
The White Lotus didn't venture to one famous Sicilian location in season 2. The satirical comedy series wrapped season 2 this year, moving from season 1's tropical Hawaiian location to the vibrant island of Sicily. The latest installment of the anthology show featured a new crew of extremely wealthy and shallow patrons, besides Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries' returning characters, as well as Sicilian locals and hotel staff.
Maraviglia: "Director Mike White was extremely receptive of these local things, we'd joke about them, and he included many of our suggestions in the season, like Italian songs, adapting his approach to reality."
