One person was transported by helicopter to the hospital after a serious car accident on Walnut Blvd. at Bougainvilla Drive in Brentwood on Saturday afternoon, shortly after 5pm, according to a press release from the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
The patient had “major injuries,” was treated on scene, and then transported by helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, according to the release. Damage was reported to one vehicle, and to a tree in the center divider of the boulevard. Fire department personnel on scene reported that the vehicle had crashed into the tree.
