Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a fatal shooting Friday evening in the Town of Renfrew. The OPP issued a public safety warning for the town early Saturday morning, but it has since been lifted.

Police officers were called to a home on Vimy Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Friday, OPP said in a release. From her front steps, Moseley said she could see several police cruisers and ambulances, and saw a person being brought out of a home on a stretcher before being placed in an ambulance that drove away.
"It is very rare in the Town of Renfrew for there to be a crime of this nature at all, so it was a surprise for myself and my neighbors that something like this were to occur at our front door," Moseley added.
