One person is dead and another in hospital after a small plane crashed into a lake east of Edmonton.
Federal and municipal search and rescue agencies responded Friday evening after a training flight failed to return on schedule.RCMP Cpl. Gina Slaney said the plane was on a training flight out of Cooking Lake Airport and was reported overdue around 9 p.m.
