One man died after a fatal collision in East Palo Alto on Friday night, authorities say.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of Kavanaugh Drive, a neighborhood street connecting two busier roads that lead between Highway 101 and the Dumbarton Bridge. Police have not released specifics about how the crash occurred, but they said it is being investigated as a hit and run. There is also no information regarding the identity or whereabouts of a suspect or suspects.

In a press release, East Palo Alto Police wrote that they are “diligently working to gather evidence and identify potential witnesses” and that they will “strive to bring those responsible to justice.” They’re asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the East Palo Alto Police Department via email at [email protected], or by sending an anonymous text 409-6792, or by leaving an anonymous voice mail at 409-6792.
