One Bronx pedestrian, one motorcyclist dead in separate collisions over 24 hours, police say
Officials said Ded Kroni, a 70-year-old Bronx resident, was crossing the street on Bainbridge Avenue near East Mosholu Parkway South when he was struck by a Mercedes-Benz driver at around 9 p.m. Thursday. The driver stayed at the scene.In a separate crash, Fredrick Hall, a 35-year-old Bronx resident, was driving a motorcycle on the Cross Bronx Expressway near the Third Avenue exit when he found himself between two tractor trailers at around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said he collided with the truck to his right, before spinning out of control into the truck in the next lane, a 2025 Volvo tractor trailer, which crushed him underneath its wheels. Hall was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead.
