The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Vice Squad and Animal Care & Protective Services Wednesday served an arrest warrant at a Northside home to seize reportedly over 20 dogs.
When Action News Jax showed up at Castle Dr. and Sherwood forest, three dogs could be spotted running around the front yard.
According to records, the homeowner in this same location has had several citations for animal violations, including one in 2019 when the owner was arrested for aggravated animal cruelty for keeping animals in unsafe and unsanitary conditions and promoting & battling animals. One person has been confirmed arrested at the scene. Officers are still writing reports at this time. Action News Jax is working to learn more.
