West Geauga High School teacher has been placed after parents complain about teacher's example of an ineligible voter.

On 11/15/19 at 4:31 AM ESTA high school teacher in Ohio has come under fire after showing a photo of a beaten and bruised Dora the Explorer while trying to teach students about voter eligibility.High School teacher showed the image of the popular cartoon character with a black eye and posing for a police mugshot. In the picture, Dora—a Latino character who speaks Spanish—is shown following an arrest for illegal border crossing and resisting arrest.

The image was placed alongside what appears to be a white convicted felon with several face and neck tattoos,Washington High School Teacher Arrested for Threatening to Shoot StudentsA parent whose son was in the 11th grade AP government class said she was"outraged" by the image. "Whether this teacher intended it to be a joke, something he found online it's simply inappropriate and outrageous," Stephanie Anderson told Fox 8.

"Seeing that white supremacist juxtaposed with a brown skinned child who has a superimposed black eye, blood coming from her mouth with the offense of illegal border crossing and resisting arrest combined with 666 666666 is 100 percent inappropriate," the parent added. Anderson also pointed out how the image is not even accurate as undocumented immigrants wouldn't be able to vote anyway. Dora herself wouldn't be able to vote as she is a child, and the charges she is accused of are both misdemeanors."It's not okay for either extreme. So whether you are very liberal or very conservative at either end of the spectrum, imparting your views on your students in a non-educationally beneficial way is unacceptable.
