Avery Henry announces his cancer in his remission less than five months after he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
Since receiving his diagnosis five months ago, Henry has received plenty of encouragement from his Ohio State coaches and teammates as he’s remained a part of the program even though he was unable to participate in football activities this spring.
“I told the guys after it happened, things like this give you perspective in life,” Ryan Day said in December. “And this is a reason why you get into coaching is to have an impact on young people and help Avery fight this battle. But like we talked about with his family, there's a reason why you're here, there's a reason why you're a Buckeye.
