Ohio State will no longer face Washington in 2024 and 2025 after it canceled the previously scheduled home-and-home series between the schools.
Ohio State is calling off a home-and-home series with Washington that had been planned for 2024 and 2025.
They had been due to visit Seattle on Sept. 14, 2024, followed by a return trip by the Huskies to Columbus on Sept. 13, 2025. The schools had arranged the series in 2017 before“I have the utmost respect for the University of Washington and for Director of Athletics Jennifer Cohen,” Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said in a statement released Wednesday, “and this was a very difficult call to make.
The series with the Huskies had coincided with Southern California and UCLA, two existing members of the Pac-12,The pending arrival of the Los Angeles schools has left open the possibility that the Buckeyes will travel to the West Coast in 2024 or 2025 as part of their conference schedule. The Big Ten is not due to finalize the league schedule for 2024 until October.
