The first full weekend of the new year means a new slate of entertaining, non-holiday-related events and activities to discover.

Tobogganing in the Cleveland Metroparks

Find your thrill in the chill at the Chalet in Mill Stream Run Reservation, whooshing down twin 700-foot refrigerated ice chutes on an old-timey toboggan. Reservations required. Tickets, $11-$13.Lace ‘em up and skate around the ice at Wade Oval’s ice rink in the University Circle neighborhood. Don’t know how? Ice skating lessons are offered every Saturday at noon. The concession stand offers hot cocoa, coffee and snacks. Admission $1-2; skate rentals, $2-$3.

Listen up, Deadheads. It’s groovy music and good vibes at the Beachland as Into the Blue performs two sets of your favorite tunes. The show doubles as a tribute to the late Brent Russell Kucklick, a Grateful Dead cover band guitarist and dedicated follower of the legendary group. Tickets, $12-$15.The concert venue’s annual free weekend features more than a dozen acts taking the stage over the course of four nights. Each night features a different musical genre.

One of America’s most popular Pink Floyd tribute acts performs its 17th annual holiday show, combining sight and sound to capture the essence of the band by performing classics and deep cuts alike. Tickets, $20-$39.50.Nancy F. and Joseph P. Keithley, of Cleveland, recently made one of the largest art collection donations in more than 60 years to the Cleveland Museum of Art. The Keithleys spent more than two decades collecting the art. David Petkiewicz, cleveland.

In its final weekend, this special exhibition showcases Joseph and Nancy Keithley’s 2020 gift to the museum. Their collection, valued at more than $100 million, features more than 100 works of art and includes paintings by Pierre Bonnard, Maurice Denis, Édouard Vuillard, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and more.
