DAYTON, Ohio — A Covington man found with more than 200,000 images of child pornography was sentenced Monday to 18 years in prison, according to federal prosecutors. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio says Henry Hitchcock, 61, had a previous history of sex offenses, having been convicted of child exploitation crimes in 1998 and 2002. He pleaded guilty in January to possessing child pornography.

Authorities say Hitchcock, a photographer, had at least 220,000 images and videos depicting child pornography, which he had collected over 20 years. He reportedly used photoshop to create images of pre-pubescent children to make them appear nude. “Hitchcock has repeatedly demonstrated that nothing short of this significant term of incarceration will stop him from continuing to sexually exploit children,” U.S. Attorney Kenneth Parker said in a statement. “This office is dedicated to protecting children – the most vulnerable victims in our communities.”More crime-related content on
