Bryce Hodges, 34, of Cincinnati, was dealing drugs such as fentanyl and methamphetamine from an apartment where children lived, prosecutors say.
CINCINNATI, Ohio — A Cincinnati man who authorities say hid fentanyl in a stuffed teddy bear has been sentenced to more than 19 years in prison.
“Courts reserve their most severe punishments for those whose crimes can have a devastating impact on children,” U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio Kenneth Parker said in a statement. “Crimes involving illegal drugs and firearms threaten the safety of our entire community.” Hodges was arrested after investigators arranged a sixth purchase in March 2021. When they searched his car, they found a stuffed teddy bear with a hidden compartment that contained a plastic bag with approximately 72.5 grams of acetylfentanyl.
