Published: Mar. 13, 2024 at 7:28 AM EDTCLEVELAND, Ohio - Several Ohio agencies are holding a news conference Wednesday afternoon to share their preparations on how to keep residents and visitors safe during the solar eclipse on April 8.

Portions of the state will experience complete darkness as they fall within the eclipse’s 124-mile-wide path.Representatives from the Ohio State Highway Patrol , the Ohio Department of Transportation , the Ohio Emergency Management Agency , and the Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission are all scheduled to give an update on their plans.19 News will stream the 1 p.m. news conference and update the web story with details.
