Atlantic City Police Officer Ahmed Waqar was responding to a routine call around 8:30 p.m. on June 18, 2021, in a marked patrol car, with no lights or siren activated, when he drove through a green light at Arkansas and Arctic avenues, according to a statement from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
