The Missions’ .247 slugging percentage and two homers were the worst in Double-A, and the team’s .169 batting average was the worst in the Texas League. The Missions staff struggled in stretches against the Drillers, giving up 11 runs and four homers during Tuesday’s opener. The Missions scored just 11 runs with two homers across the six-game series.With Korry Howell, the San Diego Padres’ No. 13 prospect, per MLB.com, sitting out last week’s series after being placed on the seven-day injured list April 27, the only top-30 prospect in San Antonio’s lineup was No. 28 Tirso Ornelas.
