Former President Barack Obama will endorse his former running mate Joe Biden in a video message today
"If there's one thing we've learned as a country from moments of great crisis, it's that the spirit of looking out for one another can't be restricted to our homes, or our workplaces, or our neighborhoods, or our houses of worship. It also has to be reflected in our national government," Obama says in the over 11-minute endorsement video.
That relationship, though, did not keep Obama from giving counsel to other candidates.As Sanders worked to determine the future of his campaign, Obama and the Vermont senator spoke multiple times, a source familiar with the conversation told CNN. Sanders endorsed Biden on Monday in a livestream, pledging to help him defeat President Trump."We need you in the White House. I will do all that I can to see that that happens, Joe," Sanders said to Biden.
