Two people were injured in a shooting Thursday just steps from busy commercial corridors, authorities said.
Shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to reports of ShotSpotter activity in the 300 block of 27th Street.
Officers provided aid until paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters arrived to take the injured person to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition. Police blocked off traffic along nearby streets to collect evidence and keep back active crowds from the scene, steps away from the city’s Telegraph Avenue and Broadway commercial corridors.
